Climbing and Scrambling Courses for 2009

Half term Family Rock Taster to Harrisons Rocks in Kent
£40 per person per half day (1100-1500) including all equipment hire, usually a half day course.

A relaxed days climbing for any ability. A good first step into the outdoors for anyone new to climbing or who climbs indoors already. Suitable for families with children aged 10 and over. All under 18's must be accompanied by a participating adult. The crag is roughly 1 hours drive from Guildford via the m25, just south of Tunbridge wells.

Course dates: Sun 15th Feb, Mon 16th Feb, Tues 17th Feb, Wed 18th Feb, Thurs 19th Feb,
other dates available on request, at least 2 clients required for the course to run.


Classic Scrambles Course
£50 per person per day for a course of less than 4 people, for a group of 4-8 the cost is £40 per person per day, i usually run at least a 3 day long weekend style course.

A chance to experience some of the truly adventurous parts of the UK! Scrambling bridges the gap between walking and climbing and is by far the most enjoyable way to the summit, unlike tramping up any tourist path. In Scrambling the situation, scenery and exposure are more important than the technicality of the moves. The routes i prefer to use do not require ropes and make for good day long adventures, usually including a proper mountain summit such as Snowdon, Tryfan and the Glyders.

Accommodation is not included, i recommend the local Youth Hostels for around £15 per night self catering. I can book a hostel for groups in advance if needed.

Peak District Rock Taster
£70 per person per day including all equipment hire, usually a weekend course.

A chance to start climbing on one of the best rock types on the planet! Gritstone offers superb grip and diverse, challenging features to climb on.
We aim to visit the famous Stanage edge, the quintessential British single pitch crag, at least once in the trip.
These courses are normally held over a weekend, accommodation is not included but I can recommend a range of places to stay when booking the course.

Dates tba, private courses are available on request with a minimum of 2 clients.
